This painting represents a significant personal memory. It was inspired by a photograph of my two grandmothers at the Dead Sea, captured by my father as they relaxed and enjoyed themselves. The photo struck me as iconic, and I felt compelled to recreate it as a cherished memory. The background of this painting reflects my Ukrainian heritage, as my family immigrated to Israel from Ukraine. In light of the current situation there, I wanted the flag to be included as a poignant reminder of our origins—our mothers, our homeland, and our history. This artwork is a birthday gift for my parents, who share the same birth date with a five-year difference. It is meant to honor them and express my heartfelt wishes for many more years of happiness and love. They are truly the best parents I could have ever hoped for. With all my love.
